Weekly Newsletter from FOPBE

PBE Families,

It's the last week of September and there is lots going on!  We apologize for the lengthy email but wanted to include everything in one spot for you.  Below this email is Principal Grondek's weekly update as well as a note from Librarian Busboom so please scroll all the way down.

This Tuesday, September 29 at 5:30pm is our very first FOPBE meeting since the kids have been back in school and it will be loaded with information and updates!  We encourage you to log-in, sit back and hear what FOPBE has planned for this non-traditional school year.  We will be discussing everything from how we plan on approaching fundraising, a discussion about FOPBE's priorities for the distance-learning environment, art, volunteer opportunities and more!

Our very first dine-out is also happening this week in partnership with Powerhaus Wholesome Pizza & Eats!!  On Monday, September 28th, Powerhaus will be selling pizza kits for pick-up with 25% of the proceeds going to PBE.  Pizza kits for the 10” will be $10 (option for garlic herb or whole grain) and the 18” will be $18 (garlic herb only). Kits will come with sauce, cheese and two toppings.  Then, log into a fun, interactive online class for tips on how to make the best pizza at home.  USE THIS LINK TO ORDER:
Look under "Salads, Wraps, Pizza Kits" to order and be sure to mention PBE in the comments!!

Our partnership with Club Excite starts this week and in the spirit of kindness and acknowledging those who make our community what it is, please take a moment to acknowledge your child's teacher and all the work they are doing to create an engaging and positive distance learning environment.  Remember, this is all new to them too and, as with anything new, there will be ups and downs so remember to say THANK YOU!!  We are in this together.

Finally, don’t forget after School Enrichment classes start this week. Check out the FOPBE website for the schedule and full list of partners offering classes this fall.

Have a great week,
Rachel & Elizabeth on behalf of FOPBE
