At Pacific Beach Elementary School, we're committed to fostering a positive and proactive environment for all our students. We believe in setting clear school-wide expectations to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere where every child can thrive.
With a focus on positivity, we're dedicated to nurturing good behavior and promoting a supportive community where everyone feels valued and included. By emphasizing safety, kindness, responsibility, and respect, we empower our students to make positive choices both inside and outside the classroom.

GENERAL SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Students will respect and obey all adult personnel at PBE.
  2. Students will respect the rights and property of others.
  3. Respectful language and behavior are expected at all times.
    *Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
    *Follow playground, cafeteria, and lunch arbor rules.
  4. Toys, gum, candy, and personal audio equipment are not allowed at school.
  5. Students will walk on the school grounds and sidewalks at all times, unless participating in a supervised game.
  6. Students must have an authorized pass to leave the classroom or school grounds.
  7. Students will remain silent and orderly during emergency drills.
  8. Homework will be completed and returned according to each teacher’s policy. Parents should review homework.
  9. Only school-authorized equipment is to be used on the playground. Skateboards, roller blades, skates, or scooters are not allowed at the school at any time.
  10. Name calling, sexual harassment, threatening others, and fighting are not acceptable behaviors.
  11. SDUSD Zero Tolerance Policy prohibits weapons of any kind.
  12. Children who show good behavior on a regular basis will continue to receive privileges and POSITIVE RECOGNITION.
  13. Plagiarism and other forms of cheating, including aiding and abetting a cheater, is not tolerated and will be addressed accordingly.

CONSEQUENCES for not following the expectations may include:

  • time out
  • in-school suspension
  • conference with principal
